RONALDO EYEING UNITED EXIT – REPORT
Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly eyeing a move away from the Premier League club during this summer’s transfer window. This is according to the report from Italian media outlet La Repubblica. It was revealed that the 37-year-old attacker is looking for a way out of Manchester United after one season upon his return to the Theatre of Dreams last summer.
Five-time Ballond’or recipient Ronaldo is unsure of his role at Manchester United following the appointment of Dutchman Erik Ten Hag as the new manager, though the Ajax Amsterdam bossvocal about Ronaldo when spoke about him a few weeks ago during his first press conference as a Manchester United manager.
Ten Hag wants Ronaldo to stay at the club. Cristiano Ronaldo signed a two-year deal when he returned to the club last summer for his second spell with the option of a third year.The Portuguese senior national team skipper scored twice on his debutas he propelled Manchester United to a 4-1 home win over Newcastle United. The aforementioned report said Cristiano Ronaldo is not convinced he would be a key part of the new manager’s plans at Manchester United as he likes his forwards to press from the front. As a result, he’s seriously considering his future at Old Trafford. His agent, Jorge Mendes is said to be on the search for a new club for the player. AS Roma and Sporting Lisbon have been linked with the former Real Madrid and Juventus player. Roma are dreaming of bringing him back to Italy, while former club Sporting Lisbon are also keen on the five-time Champions League winner.
